Scratch Programming develop essential skills in children such as creative thinking, problem solving and computational thinking that will also help in all other aspect of their life. They don't need to have any previous knowledge or wanting to be programmers in their future before learning scratch.
All they need is an attentive teacher who can help them in their studies.
Scratch, a programming language that was developed by MIT, rises to the challenge. It uses colourful animation to help illustrate difficult concepts and opens a door to the wonderful world of code.
This introductory course will help children to create videos, stories and games, while learning the core (basis) of coding so there’s no need for previous experience. Children will get to know the Scratch learning environment, its friendly animated characters and cool graphic design tools.
They will create fun games by dragging and dropping built-in blocks of code, which will help them implement the internal logic and structure of programming. [1]
The children will be grouped per age in classes of 5 to 10 children. The classes will start on Monday, October 7 at 4:30PM.
Please you can select any time schedule as provided from the table below. It should be noted that the children will meet 2 times per week for classes. But if you choose to meet for class only once a week kindly contact us for arrangements.
Give it a try, your child will definitely love it.
COURSE INFORMATION
As languages are best learned at a young age, so is coding. There are many ways to teach programming, however, the main challenge is how to explain abstract mathematical concepts like axis, parameters and variables to young children.Scratch, a programming language that was developed by MIT, rises to the challenge. - Develop essential skills such as creative thinking, problem solving and computational thinking that will also help in all other aspect of life.
- Understand programming statements such as: conditions, loops and variables while creating games, videos and stories.
- Create amazing projects and handle gradual challenges with the help of an attentive teacher.
COURSE CURRICULUM
Parent will first have a feel of the online class and know what to expect and help children.
Students will get to know the learning environment. They will start by creating simple stories involving no more than one character and gradually progress to programming advanced games that combine multiple characters, commands and design tools. [1]
We are making intensive use of the Creative Computing Curriculum, designed by the Creative Computing Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. This is a very powerful curriculum which help students to learn advance concepts of computer science by drawing upon creativity, imagination, and interests. The student learn complex context of programming by practising through games and play. It help them to be creative and computational thinkers.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We specialize in operating live-online classes with full real-time interaction guided by an experienced and attentive teacher.
This type of teaching is a new emerging way of teaching over the traditional way(teaching in a physical classroom).
In an online classroom, all the things are available as if it were in a physical classroom. As a matter of fact, children are more focus; there is a much better order and focus during class. There is a whiteboard for illustration, screen sharing between teachers and students etc.

We believe that with a little help children can learn how to use technology wisely to help themselves in their life and carrier; of course with the help and supervision of their parents/guardians.

FOLLOW ALL DETAILS AT THEIR OWN SPACE
Learning is all about connecting. That's why we use a video conference software allowing the small size group of children to get to know each other and their teacher. The teacher uses a shared screen option so everyone can see what she is doing on her desktop, and children can fully participate in the lesson by using the microphone or the chat. [1]
HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
All lessons are automatically recorded and available for students during the course. Students can ask any question to their teacher privately or collectively as the class is ongoing.
Parents can follow up on their children progression and know exactly what the children are being thought during the class.
PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
Students learn by doing and work on interest-based projects, which create a fun class dynamics where we don't present the answers but look for them together. [1]
